What is Yamagandam?
Yamagandam is one of the eight daytime parts, traditionally linked with Yama, and avoided for important beginnings and travel. Like Rahu Kalam, it follows local sunrise and sunset.

It takes the 5th part on Sunday, 4th on Monday, 3rd on Tuesday, 2nd on Wednesday, 1st on Thursday, 7th on Friday and 6th on Saturday.
