How accurate is astrology? Is it scientific?

Published 01-11-2026 · · How we answer

Short answer

Astrology's calculations are accurate; its predictions are not scientifically established. Planetary positions can be computed precisely, and ChiChakra checks its dates against the Swiss Ephemeris. Reading those positions as forecasts for your life is a tradition, not a tested science. We offer it as a lens for reflection and timing, and we're open about that.

How ChiChakra reads this

We separate three things: astronomy (where the planets are), tradition (what classical rules say that means) and your life (what actually happens). Only the first can be checked precisely. The second is handed down rather than proven, and the third is yours to observe.

Using astrology honestly

Notice why readings feel right. General descriptions fit most people, which is why 12-sign horoscopes can all sound alike.

Test it on yourself: note a forecast, then write down what actually happened. A journal shows the patterns, and the misses, better than memory does.

Never let a reading replace a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or your own judgement on big decisions.

Use it where it genuinely helps: a pause before reacting, a calmer day for a hard conversation, a framework for reflection.

Good to know

We never sell remedies or promise outcomes. If someone else does, be cautious.
