Life events and good timing

When is the best time to conceive a child?

Published 01-11-2026 · · How we answer

Short answer

There is no planetary 'best time' that makes conception more likely; your doctor or clinic sets the medical timing. What astrology can offer is a meaningful day within that plan, such as a calm, well-chosen day to begin trying or to start a treatment cycle. Find Good Times shows traditional windows, and a birth chart adds personal context.

How ChiChakra reads this

In a birth chart, astrologers look at the 5th house (children), its ruling planet, Jupiter as the traditional significator of children, and the running Dasha (planetary period). With only a Moon sign, ChiChakra can show Jupiter's transit from your Moon sign; as of November 2026 Jupiter is in Simha. None of this measures fertility.

Using timing alongside medical advice

Let your doctor or fertility clinic set the medical window first. Fertile days, test results and treatment schedules always come before any calendar.

Inside that window, Find Good Times can help you choose a settled day, perhaps to begin a treatment cycle or simply to mark the decision together. Many couples also skip their Chandrashtama days (when the Moon passes through the 8th sign from their Moon sign) for big starts.

Be gentle with each other. A supportive month in a forecast is a reminder to rest and talk, not a promise.

Good to know

Your doctor decides medical timing, and no chart can confirm a pregnancy or choose a boy or a girl. Personal birth-chart readings are coming; join the waitlist to hear when they open.
