Is this month good for a fresh start?

Published 01-11-2026 · · How we answer

Short answer

November 2026 is a mixed but workable month for a fresh start. Mercury is retrograde until 13 November and Venus until 14 November, so plan and prepare in the first half, then begin from mid-month. Diwali (Lakshmi Puja) falls on 8 November, a traditional moment for new beginnings. Avoid your own Chandrashtama days for the very first step.

How ChiChakra reads this

For a fresh start we look at the month's retrogrades, the house Jupiter occupies from your Moon, and the daily Moon. Jupiter entered Simha on 31 October 2026, a traditional boost for beginnings where it lands in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th or 11th from the Moon: that means Kataka, Mesha, Kumbha, Dhanus and Tula.

Starting well this month

Use 1 to 13 November to plan, research and tidy loose ends. Begin the visible part, such as signing up, announcing or launching, once Mercury turns direct.

Start small: one habit, one class, one conversation. A modest beginning you keep going beats a perfect one you drop.

Pick a day outside your Chandrashtama and, if you can, a start time outside Rahu Kalam.

Good to know

If this month does not suit, another marker is close: Rahu and Ketu change signs on 5 December 2026.
